Our Guest Speaker: Jennifer Walsh

Jennifer Walsh is an acclaimed entrepreneur, speaker, author, and media figure who has spent over 27 years working at the intersection of beauty, retail, nature, and neuroscience to help people flourish. She pioneered America’s first experiential retail brand, Beauty Bar, in the 1990s, integrating biophilic wisdom long before mainstream and the very first omni-channel beauty brand in the US. Her trailblazing brand earned her regard as a “Beauty Futurist”. She and her team created the first open-air stores, meaning the products for the first time were not behind glass enclosures. They launched the concept of Curbside Service for retail in 2006. That business, was ultimately bought by Amazon in 2011. After the sale, Jennifer created 2 more CPG brands before launching Walk with Walsh in 2016. That same year she created her Wellness Walks® to get more people outdoors and to educate the health benefits of time spent outside. Jennifer now leads her walks around the globe for corporate clients, brand activations, hotel groups, schools, and more. Jennifer has shared her inspired insights through 27 years in media on TV and as a freelance writer covering stories around wellness, travel, fitness, beauty, fashion, and home all tying back to our connections to nature. She is the author of the popular wellness journal, Walk Your Way Calm. Jennifer is also the co-host of the popular podcast, Biophilic Solutions. As a University faculty advisor researching biophilia’s impacts on brain health and performance, Jennifer guides organizations globally on biophilic design and nature based solutions. She has helped brands in the US and abroad create holistic/biophilic brick and mortar locations, programs, and brands. Jennifer is a life long marathon runner and triathlete.
